1000 Minnesotans To Be Hypnotized To Help Our Troops and Their Families

Devin Hastings, a Plymouth, MN author and international speaker on the medical uses of hypnosis, is looking for 1000 volunteers who want to learn how to use self-hypnosis to make powerful life changes and to reduce stress.  It is well known that stress can dramatically contribute to obesity and can worsen diabetes so this is a must-see class.

These seminars are being conducted free of charge because it is hoped that two things will happen:  (1) The attendees will discover their inner power for instant stress reduction, weight loss and better diabetes control (if they need it).

(2) Each person attending can help in some way with War Stress Relief which is a non-political website dedicated to bringing care and help to our embattled troops and their families.  Click here for more seminar information.

The seminars will be offered at a rate of two per month, until 1000 Minnesotans have been hypnotized and hopefully thousands have gone to www.War-Stress-Relief.com and volunteered to do whatever they can to help or, have let people they know about this non-political website dedicated to helping our soldiers and their families.

Even 1 hour of free service per month is important.  What if 10,000 Americans each volunteered just one hour to help our soldiers and their families?  That's 10,000 hours of care.

Devin Hastings, the seminar leader, answers the following most frequently asked question:

"Are you for real?  You're doing a series of free seminars and giving away a total of one thousand, $30.00 audio programs with no strings attached?  No sales pitch?  No asking for donations?  Why??"

"Many years ago I became homeless because my mother had married a man who tried to kill me.  And so, sensing I was not wanted (alive at least), I quickly moved into a broken down old car until I could afford a tent which I set up in the woods.  I lived there until I saved enough money to rent a room, which took a while.  That event (and others) set the stage from where I would continue in a deadly, downward spiral for a long time."

"I needed help and when I tried to find help, it was beyond my meager financial reach.  At that point, I swore in my heart that when I was able to, I would do whatever I could to help others avoid being stranded, forgotten and without help.  Frequently I help people in my hypnosis practice by seeing them at no charge because I remember what it was like to want to change but having nothing."

"This is a time for us Americans to renew our lost sense of community and care for one another because so many of our incredible service people and their families are enduring terrible times.  No matter what our political beliefs, we must reach out.  Basic, decent, 'American Caring' for one another must be beyond the reach of politics."

"There are over 3,000 families who have experienced loss just from the Iraq war.  Between the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts, over 50,000 American G.I.'s have come back horribly wounded.  How many families are suffering beyond description because of their loved one's sacrifices?  We must offer them help."

"Now, when you read the above and truly feel what is in my heart, then you will know why I am donating my time and the 1000 stress relief audio programs to get people to either volunteer or find someone to volunteer on my website, War Stress Relief.  Once you understand that every day I think of our service men and women and their families, and what they must be going through, then you will know why I am giving these seminars."

"I have committed to hypnotizing 1000 volunteers (and each one gets a free $30 CD), starting in May, 2007, in order to raise awareness of our responsibility to our nation's defenders and to hopefully attract volunteers to the War Stress Relief website.  (By the way, nothing is sold on that website.  There are no product pitches, no ads, nothing.  The website is dedicated to our troops.)"

"You should also know that I joined the Army back in the late '80s for the college benefits. I never thought I would see action and I didn't.  Nor did I get any college benefits but that's a long story.  The point is that after getting my honorable discharge, I then realized that the time I spent in the Army had tattooed on my soul a deep and abiding care and concern for all who serve in our armed forces.  And I think of those who joined for the college benefits and will never be able to use them."

"So, why am I doing this?  Because I have to.  I am not wealthy, I drive a 6 year old Mazda Protege and everything I am donating really is costing me but, someone has to do something to say thanks to our troops and their families.  So I volunteered.  Thank God my amazing wife supports me in my mission."
